Hello! My name is Tara Salese and and I'm the friendly neighborhood hooker!
As you can tell from the name, I'm bubbly, friendly, and also a little cheeky.
After a lively life in New York City I've settled down into my suburban roots with my husband and my dog and lots of yarn.
Getting Started
Friendly Neighborhood Hooker started out of boredom during the pandemic in 2020. Well that's not entirely true. That's just when I started crocheting thanks to my mother.
I could barely crochet a straight line in the beginning but after countless hours of practicing I've finally figured this thing out!
I started crocheting as a hobby with no intent to sell but people kept asking me if I sold my work. People kept asking me over and over to sell my work and finally I gave in! You're welcome!
Anything Else?
Why yes, of course! I'm not just a crochet gremlin all tangled up in yarn 24/7. I'm also an actress, classically trained and part of the union!
Not only that but I love playing music! Whether it's the banjo, ukulele, viola or bass guitar you can find me annoying my husband in a non- soundproof room playing the same riffs over and over.
I love learning new things and that's part of why I love crochet. I love trying new patterns and styles so stay on the lookout for new products that I'll be adding all the time to my website!
